1. Pop Ash Creek Preserve is located at 9451 Nalle Grade Rd. North Fort Myers , Florida 33917. Pop Ash Creek Preserve has several miles of hiking trails and equestrian trails scattered among the 307 acres of pine trees and fishing ponds. If horse back riding isn’t “your thing” Pop Ash has some other recreational opportunities including: Bird Watching, Fishing, Geocaching, Hiking (Unmarked or Fire Lines), Horseback Riding and Nature Study/Photography.
2. Caloosahatchee Regional Park is located at 19130 North River Road Alva, FL 33920. The Park features 768 acres of pine flatwoods, scrub oak, cypress swamps and oak hammocks. Crossing through them, you’ll find over 20 miles of hiking, mountain biking and equestrian trails. The north side of the park is designated for mountain biking and horseback riding. The south side of the park has hiking trails, fishing pier, a floating dock and the primitive campground. Primitive camping sites for families and groups are available, along with equestrian sites for people with horses. Kayaking and fishing are available along the banks of the Caloosahatchee River. Covered pavilions are available for group use or special events.
3.Buckingham Trails Preserve is located at 8790 Buckingham Road Fort Myers , Florida 33905. Located in east Lee County in the Buckingham area, this 572 acre preserve consists of mostly pine flatwoods and open scrub habitat. There is a 2.3-mile trail for hiking only and nearly 5 additional miles for combined equestrian and hiking. Other recreational opportunities include: Bird Watching, Hiking (Marked Trails), Horseback Riding, Nature Study/Photography.
